Both jadeite and nephrite are two minerals that are known as Jade. Jadeite is a pyroxene mineral and can present several colors, green, white, yellow, red, brown, orange, blue, black, pink and violet, depending on the other minerals it may contain. Nephrite is more abundant and belongs to the group of amphiboles, another type of silicate.
