MINERALOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS

The tektit, is a natural glass that, according to the most accepted theory, is formed by the impact of large meteorites on the earth's surface. The rocky material melts due to the great pressure and heat, and together with meteorite debris, is catapulted a few hundred kilometers out of the crater, into the scattering area. The tektites receive specific names depending on the place where they have been found.

These materials cool quickly, turning into small pieces of natural glass with an irregular or rounded shape, with a diameter not larger than about 4 cm and black or olive green, sometimes yellowish.

The name of tectite, also written tektite, comes from the Greek "tektos", meaning "molten".

Deposits: They are found on all continents, except Antarctica and South America.

THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES

Being the remains of a meteorite impact, tektit is attributed the ability to enhance communication with other worlds, favoring the reception of higher-order knowledge and establishing a link between creative energy and matter.

Positioned on the chakras, tectite helps to balance the energy flow. It is used as a fertility talisman and balancer of masculine and feminine energy.
