MINERALOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS

The sodalite is an aluminosilicate of sodium chloride. Its name comes from its chemical composition rich in sodium.

The sodalite is usually compact, forming massive aggregates or amorphous and granular masses. It rarely forms dodecahedral or octahedral crystal. It usually forms in igneous rocks and in cracks.

Deposits: Russia, Brazil, Germany, India, Canada, United States, France and Myanmar.

THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES

The sodalite is associated with the 5th chakra, balancing communication and expression. It is also usually applied to the 6th chakra, promoting the expansion of consciousness and strengthening the intellect. In different traditions it is considered the stone that opens the third eye.

The sodalite provides mental clarity and helps to understand and release old mental patterns. Boosts self-esteem and self-confidence. It is indicated to treat the throat area, to boost the immune system and also to clean electromagnetic pollution.
