MINERALOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS

The pyrolusite or soft manganese is a manganese ore mineral of color between iron gray or dark gray, with a metallic or earthy luster. It forms rare and small prismatic to tabular crystals in botryoidal, radial aggregates or in earthy masses. Fades slightly.

The pyrolusite appears in highly oxidized conditions in its own sedimentary deposits or as a secondary product of other manganese deposits. It is found in lakes, swamps, shallow marine environments, or ocean floors.

The name pyrolusite comes from the Greek "pyro", which means "fire", and "luou", which means "wash", since this mineral, thanks to its oxidizing action, was used to clean glass of the colors it took on due to iron.

Deposits: United States, Russia, Great Britain, Portugal, Brazil and India.

THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES

The pyrolusite is known for its great capacity for restructuring at all levels and for its transmuting force. It helps to strengthen the aura, favoring one's firmness in the face of influential and unfavorable people or situations.

The pyrolusite brings confidence, optimism and determination. It helps to delve into difficulties and find means for transformation.

On a physical level, it is said that pyrolusite regulates metabolism, activates blood flow and sexuality, helps overcome bronchitis and improves eyesight.
