MINERALOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS

The hiddenite or green kuncite is a variety of the spodumene gem, together with the kuncite. It is yellowish green to emerald green in color, due to the presence of chromium, and is formed by elongated crystals.

It belongs to the group of pyroxenes, which are lithium aluminosilicates and in their gem quality they present pleochroisms , changing its color depending on the direction of observation.

The name of hiddenite comes from the locality of Hiddenite, in North Carolina, United States, where the only known deposits are found.

THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES
