MINERALOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS

The hematoid quartz or red quartz is a variety of quartz reddish-orange in color due to the presence of iron. The variety of red quartz from northern Spain is called < span class="own-inside-link">Hyacinth of Compostela. It is a silicon oxide, colored by the abundant presence of iron oxide inclusions (hematite, oliogist or limonite brown).

The name of hematoid quartz comes from the Greek "aïma", "aïmatos" (blood) and "eïdos" (aspect).

Deposits: Brazil, Spain, United States, France, Russia, China and Ireland.

THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES

The red quartz is considered a great revitalizer of the body, especially treating the base chakra and raising energy. It is usually indicated for recovery from convalescence. On a physical level, it favors the functioning of the liver.
