MINERALOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS

The citrine quartz is a variety of crystalline quartz with a yellow color. Its color is due to the presence of hydrated iron oxide. It forms hexagonal crystals and is normally found in pegmatites and hydrothermal veins. Its name comes from the Latin “citrinus”, in reference to its color. Being a rarer quartz than other types of quartz, sometimes amethyst and the smoky quartz treated with heat to obtain a citrine quartz similar to nature.

Deposits: Brazil, India, Russia, United States, Great Britain, Madagascar, France and Germany.

THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES

The citrine quartz is associated with the 3rd and 7th chakra. It represents the solar force and is related to creativity and prosperity, which is often used to activate and undertake ideas and projects. It favors assimilation, both physically and nutritionally as well as emotionally and spiritually. It helps to activate vitality, to develop the will, the ability to make decisions and intuition.
