MINERALOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS
The white quartz or rock crystal is a variety of transparent quartz, white or colorless. Quartz is composed of silicon dioxide, the most abundant mineral in the earth's crust after feldspars. Its name comes from the German word “quartz” and the Greek “krystallos”. Quartz can appear in crystalline form with visible prismatic crystals, and in cryptocrystalline form forming microscopic crystals.
The quartz crystals can be found isolated or in groups in the form of geodes or druses. Some transparent quartz contain inclusions of other minerals, as would be the case of tourmalinated quartz or the rutilated quartz. Quartz appears in metamorphic, igneous and sedimentary rocks rich in silicon. Thanks to its properties, transparent quartz has been used to manufacture lenses, transducers and electronic systems.

THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES
The quartz crystals are considered a synthesis of life and a microcosm of the Universe. When the crystal is transparent and translucent, it is considered the healing mineral par excellence. It is related to the 7th chakra but can be used in any other center to help enhance, channel or balance energy.
The quartz crystal favors the connection with our own light and happiness and is usually used to meditate, although it is not recommended to use it before going to sleep as it is activating. In the form of a druse, it helps to dynamize and cleanse the energy of space and also of the objects that are placed on it.
The white quartz or rock crystal is considered an amplifier and enhancer, so it will be important to use it with a well-focused intention. Along with other minerals, it will amplify and enhance the properties of the other mineral.
