MINERALOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS

The blue quartz, also known as sapphire quartz, is a variety of quartz bluish in color, which can be translucent or opaque. Its color is due to the inclusions of other materials, such as magnesium, riebequita and crocidolite. It is also called blue quartz to massive quartzite with inclusions of blue minerals. The blue quartzite is a metamorphic rock that has a high content of quartz.
