MINERALOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS

Sulfur is the most abundant mineral component on Earth, in the form of sulphides, sulphates and elemental sulphur, after oxygen and silicon.

Crystals of sulfur can present up to 56 different habits and can also be found in massive, stalactitic and reniform forms. If it crystallizes well, the sulfide forms as sublimation of volcanic gases, embedded in cracks or volcanic fumaroles. Massive sulfur is usually found as thick layers in sedimentary rocks, especially those associated with salt domes.

sulfur has a characteristic yellow color bright to red or yellow-grey. Its name comes from Latin and means "stone of fire".

Deposits: Indonesia, United States, Canada, Italy, Poland, France, Russia, Mexico and Japan.

THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES

The sulfur, due to its negative polarity, is a great absorber of negative energies and emotions. Due to its volcanic origin it is said that it has the quality of healing different types of "eruptions": feelings, skin diseases, infections and fever. It can bring latent psychic abilities to the surface.

Sulfur enhances imagination and creativity. It helps to overcome mental blocks and to see and soften personality characteristics that can go against oneself.
