Pyrite belongs to the sulfide group and is a great source of sulfur and iron. Insoluble in water, and magnetic by heating. Its most common form is in cubes, octahedrons and pentagonal dodecaedrons. It is usually found massively, granularly, nodularly or botroidalally.
