Thulite

Silicates - sorosilicates

Thulite, also known as tulite, is a dense variety of zoisite with a pink or reddish color. It is a calcium hydroxide aluminosilicate belonging to the epidote group.

Its characteristic color is mainly due to the presence of manganese in its composition. It normally appears in massive form, although it can also form implanted prismatic crystals with vertical striation.

Thulite is found in metamorphic rocks and pegmatites. Its name comes from Thule, an ancient name associated with Norway, the place where it was first described.

Because of its intense pink tone and compact texture, thulite is appreciated both as an ornamental mineral and in polished and carved pieces.

Thulite is considered a stone of vital strength, regeneration and emotional expression. It is associated with the ability to live with enthusiasm, curiosity and openness to new experiences.

Traditionally, it is said to enhance creativity, the search for solutions and the constructive expression of passions and feelings. It is also related to integration between the rational mind and love, encouraging a more positive and active attitude toward life.

On an energetic level, thulite is used to stimulate vitality and strengthen confidence during periods of weakness or discouragement. On the physical plane, it is attributed support in calcium assimilation, fertility, reproductive organs and the digestive system.
