Mineralogical characteristics
Magnetite is a very abundant oxide mineral. It generally forms octahedra, rhombododecahedra and cubes, implanted or semi-implanted in varied geological environments. It has strong magnetism and often appears covered with iron filaments.
It is said that the name magnetite comes from the Greek shepherd "Magnes", who noticed the attraction that a magnetite-rich rock exerted on the nails of his shoes.

Magnetite is a magnetic stone and its properties are related to its useful positive-negative polarity and to its connection with Mother Earth.
It stimulates or calms the organs of the body according to what they need. It is said to enhance muscle recovery, telepathy and visualization. It balances emotions with the intellect, brings objectivity, perseverance and inner stability, making it useful for meditation.
