Mineralogical characteristics
Hiddenite or green kunzite is a variety of the spodumene gem, along with kunzite. It ranges from yellowish green to emerald green, due to the presence of chromium, and is formed by elongated crystals.
It belongs to the pyroxene group, which are lithium aluminosilicates and, in gem quality, show pleochroism, changing color depending on the viewing direction.
The name hiddenite comes from the locality of Hiddenite, in North Carolina, United States, where the only known deposits are found.

Therapeutic properties
Hiddenite, in addition to having the qualities of kunzite, helps transfer spiritual knowledge and integrate intellect with love. It is considered the stone of new beginnings and spiritual love.
On a physical level, hiddenite is said to benefit the thymus gland and chest area.
