Mineralogical characteristics
Dravite or brown tourmaline is one of the species in the tourmaline family, borosilicates with complex composition. Dravite is magnesium tourmaline and its color is yellowish or dark brown.
It forms elongated crystals with vertical striations and triangular sections. It is found in pegmatites, granites and hydrothermal veins.
Deposits
Sri Lanka, Brazil, United States, Australia, Afghanistan and Italy.
Therapeutic properties
Dravite cleanses and protects the aura and encourages connection with the earth. It strengthens empathy, pragmatism and creativity.
