Tourmalinated quartz is a variety of transparent quartz that contains needle-shaped tourmaline inclusions. These inclusions are usually black, although they may appear in other colors such as green, blue or pink. It may contain only a few inclusions or a high density of them, making it appear opaque.

All over the world, with Brazil being the main deposit.
