Aqua aura quartz consists of clear quartz crystals artificially treated with metals such as gold, cobalt, platinum, silver and titanium, producing an iridescent luster. In the case of blue aqua aura, a chamber is used where quartz crystals are heated and impregnated with gold vapors by deposition. Dark aqua aura quartz is obtained from the combination of gold and titanium through an electrostatic charging process. Aqua aura quartz is often prepared as tumbled stones, druses, geodes and for jewelry making.
